1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Huanyi collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use our website and virtual try-on service.
Huanyi is designed for users in international markets, including the United States, European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and other regions with privacy laws such as GDPR and CCPA/CPRA.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information: name, email address, profile image (from OAuth providers such as Google or GitHub), and internal user ID.
- Uploaded content: photos you submit for try-on and generated result images.
- Usage data: try-on counts, subscription status, credit balances, and basic event logs needed to operate the product.
- Payment-related data: subscription status, customer IDs, and billing period metadata processed by Creem. We do not store full payment card numbers.
- Technical data: IP address (hashed for abuse prevention), browser type, device information, and server logs.
- Communications: messages you send to support or privacy requests.
3. How We Use Information
We use personal information to:
- Provide, maintain, and secure the Service.
- Process try-on requests and deliver generated images.
- Manage accounts, credits, subscriptions, and customer support.
- Detect abuse, fraud, and policy violations (including automated content moderation).
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
- Improve reliability and product experience (aggregated or de-identified where possible).
4. Legal Bases (EEA/UK)
Where GDPR applies, we rely on: contract (providing the Service), legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, product improvement), consent (where required), and legal obligation.
6. Data Retention
Account data is kept while your account is active.
Uploaded images and try-on results for free accounts are retained for up to 30 days, after which they may be automatically deleted.
Pro subscribers' images are retained while the subscription is active and for a limited period afterward unless you delete them sooner.
When you delete your account, we aim to delete associated personal data and images within 24 hours, subject to backup cycles and legal retention requirements.
Billing records may be retained longer where required for tax, accounting, or fraud prevention.
7. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to data portability.
California residents may have rights to know, delete, and correct personal information, and to opt out of sale/sharing (we do not sell personal information).
To exercise your rights, email privacy@huanyi.app. We may need to verify your request. You may also delete your account from the Account page.
9. Security
We use HTTPS, access controls, and industry-standard practices to protect data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Uploaded images may have EXIF metadata stripped to reduce accidental sharing of location or device data.
10. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information.
11. International Transfers
We may process data in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
